The doctors and staff at Pine Ridge Dental are pleased to announce that our offices will reopen as of Monday, May 4, 2020. Please read about our new policies for your safety:[p>
Scheduling and Rescheduling
Because of COVID-19 risks and mandates from the Nebraska Dental Association and other governing bodies, we canceled all non-emergent care between March 16, 2020 and May 2, 2020. Many of our patients who were already scheduled in May will have their appointments unaffected. Please expect longer appointments due to the safety protocols we will be implementing, which are listed below.
We will also be working diligently to make extra clinical hours available in order to:
- Lessen the number of people in our offices at one time
- Allow patients who were originally rescheduled March 16-May 2to be rescheduled in a timely manner. If we call and you are willing to alter or postpone your appointment, we thank you for understanding.
New PRD Protocols and Safety Precautions
Many of the following precautions have been implemented already for emergency care during our office closure. All are in accordance with regulations and suggestions from the CDC, ADA, NDA, and other governing bodies or research institutions. All are intended to maintain the health and well-being of our patients, families, our staff and our community. Infection control and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) have always been a priority at Pine Ridge Dental. Now, in order to help contain the spread of COVID-19, we have added the following additional protocols.
Pre-screening will be accomplished prior to and during phone confirmation of your appointment. If there is concern for the safety of our you or our staff, you will be asked to postpone your care until a later date.
Patients will be instructed to call upon their arrival and wait in vehicles until instructed to come to the door.
Staff will open the entry doors for patients, who will be given a mask (please wear your own if possible). All patients will be asked to thoroughly sanitize their hands and forearms with sanitizer and/or wipes we will provide.
Please try to leave your phones untouched for the duration of your clinical care. Even with all the care we are taking to maximize cleanliness, phones can negate it all with one touch. If you use your phone, you will be asked to re-sanitize your hands.
We will take the temperature (no touch thermometers) of every person entering the premises, including our staff, and ask patients all to fill out a health questionnaire and travel disclosures document.
Companions will be limited to one parent for minors, or one person to help with mobility challenges. Companions will be required to perform the same safety protocols as patients.
If reception room sitting is required, we have situated all chairs over six feet apart. Our reception staff will disinfect reception chairs after use. All magazines and periodicals have been removed.
No fans will be used in the office, to prevent dispersion of aerosol.
Paperwork will be minimized to only the requisite disclosure forms.
Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time. Your safety is our highest priority and your dental health our continued mission. Rest assured, we are taking every precaution we can. Please call (402) 423-1100 if you have questions or concerns prior to your appointment.
